Credentials

  • Access Token — From the Meta Developer Portal, WhatsApp section.
  • Phone Number ID — The WhatsApp Business phone number ID from your Meta app.
  • Recipient Number — Phone number to send to, with country code (e.g., +1234567890).

Setup

  1. Create a Meta Business app with WhatsApp product.
  2. Set up a WhatsApp Business phone number.
  3. Generate a permanent access token.
  4. Enter the token, phone number ID, and recipient in MokonyxSocial.

Limits

4,096 characters per message.

Good to Know

  • Use a permanent access token. Short-lived tokens expire quickly and will stop delivery; a permanent token keeps messages flowing.
  • Include the country code on the recipient number so messages route correctly.
  • Respect WhatsApp's messaging policies. Meta enforces rules about business-initiated messages and consent — only message recipients who expect to hear from you.

Verifying It Works

Publish a test article and confirm the message arrives, then check the MokonyxSocial Activity Logs for the delivery status.
