Why Cross-Post to Tumblr
Tumblr is a community-driven blogging platform with an engaged, niche-friendly audience. Automatically posting your articles there extends their reach, keeps your blog active, and links readers back to your site — without extra manual work.
Credentials
- Access Token — OAuth access token from the Tumblr Developer Portal.
- Blog Name — Your Tumblr blog name (e.g., myblog — without .tumblr.com).
Authorization
Save the service, then click Connect to Tumblr to authorize. Your token is saved automatically.
What Gets Posted
Articles are created as text posts with the article title and content. Links back to the original article are included.
Tips for Best Results
- Enter the blog name correctly — Use just the blog name (for example, myblog), not the full myblog.tumblr.com address.
- Match your audience — Tumblr rewards content that fits the platform's culture, so consider which articles are the best fit for your blog.
- Keep the token current — If posting stops, the access token may need to be refreshed by reconnecting.
Troubleshooting
If posts don't publish, confirm the Blog Name is entered without the .tumblr.com suffix and that your access token is still valid. Reconnect the service to refresh authorization if you see authentication errors.
