Why Cross-Post to Pinterest

Pinterest is a discovery engine where visual content drives long-lived traffic. Turning your articles into pins puts your content in front of people actively searching for ideas, and each pin links back to your site — a steady source of referral visitors long after publishing.

Credentials

  • Access Token — OAuth access token from the Pinterest Developer Portal.
  • Board ID — The board to pin to. Find the ID in the board URL or via the API.

Authorization

Save the service, then click Connect to Pinterest to authorize via OAuth. Your token is saved automatically.

What Gets Pinned

Articles are created as pins with the intro image, title, and link back to the article. For best results, ensure your articles have intro images set.

Tips for Best Results

  • Always set an intro image — Pinterest is visual-first; an article without an intro image will produce a weak pin or may not pin at all.
  • Use tall, high-quality images — Vertical images tend to perform best in the Pinterest feed.
  • Pick the right board — Confirm the Board ID points to the board where the topic fits, so pins reach the right audience.

Troubleshooting

If pins don't appear, verify the article has an intro image set and that the Board ID is correct. Authorization errors usually mean the access token has expired — reconnect the service to refresh it.
