Why Connect Mailchimp
Email remains one of the most reliable ways to reach your audience directly. By generating a campaign from each new article, this connector keeps your newsletter in sync with your website — no re-writing content into Mailchimp by hand — so subscribers hear about new posts automatically.
Credentials
- API Key — Mailchimp API key (ends with -us1, -us2, etc.). Generate in Account, Extras, API Keys.
- Audience/List ID — The audience to send campaigns to. Find in Audience, Settings, Audience ID.
- From Name (optional) — Sender name for campaigns. Defaults to audience settings.
- From Email (optional) — Sender email. Must be a verified sending domain.
How It Works
When an article is published, MokonyxSocial creates a Mailchimp campaign using the article content and sends it to your audience (or saves as draft, depending on plugin settings).
Tips for Best Results
- Start in draft mode — If you want to review each newsletter before it sends, use draft mode and finish and send from Mailchimp.
- Verify your sending domain — A custom From Email must use a domain verified in Mailchimp, or the campaign will fail to send.
- Pick the right audience — Double-check the Audience/List ID so campaigns reach the intended subscribers.
Troubleshooting
If campaigns don't send, confirm the API key is valid and matches your account's data-center suffix, that the Audience/List ID is correct, and that any custom sender email is verified in Mailchimp.
