What you'll see on first launch
The first time you open MokoHub, it shows a welcome screen. This is a simple starting page with your organization's logo (or a short welcome message set up by your team), a tagline, and a single Get started button.
You do not create a MokoHub account, and there is no username or password to set up for the app itself. MokoHub is designed to run locally on your computer -- the only account that matters is your Google Workspace account, which you sign into inside your services (more on that below).
Getting started
- Open MokoHub. The welcome screen appears.
- Read the short hint under the button: "Sign in with your Google Workspace account. Your services load automatically."
- Click Get started.
That's it. Clicking Get started takes you straight into the main window (the "dock"), where your services are laid out as tiles down the side. Your organization decides which services appear -- they load automatically, so there's nothing to add by hand.
If your team has set one up, you may also see a Support link on the welcome screen. Clicking it opens your organization's help or support page in your web browser.
Signing in with your Google Workspace account
After you click Get started, the actual sign-in happens inside your services, not on the MokoHub welcome screen. When you open a Google service for the first time, it shows Google's normal sign-in page.
- Click a Google service tile -- for example, Gmail.
- The familiar Google sign-in page loads. Enter your Google Workspace email address and password as you normally would.
- Complete any additional steps your organization requires, such as two-step verification.
- Once you're signed in, Gmail loads and you're ready to work.
One sign-in covers all your Google services
This is the part that makes MokoHub convenient: you only need to sign in to Google once. Because all your Google services share the same secure sign-in session, signing into Gmail also signs you into Google Calendar, Drive, Google Chat, and your other Google tools automatically.
So after that first Gmail sign-in, you can click straight into Calendar or any other Google tile and find yourself already signed in -- no repeat login required.
Staying signed in
MokoHub remembers your sign-in between sessions. When you close and reopen the app, you normally stay logged into your Google services -- you won't have to sign in again every time.
Non-Google services (for example, a separate chat app or an external account) work the same way: you sign into each one once, inside its tile, and MokoHub keeps you signed in.
Troubleshooting first-run sign-in
- MokoHub shows the welcome screen every time you open it. Simply click Get started again to continue into the dock. This can happen occasionally after an update or if your local session was cleared.
- Signing into Gmail didn't sign me into Calendar. This is unusual, since Google services are meant to share one login. Try reopening the Calendar tile; if it persists, contact your support team.
- The Google sign-in page seems stuck part-way through. Close and reopen the service tile, then try again. If it keeps happening, let your support team know -- a security setting may need adjusting on their end.
- You need help. Use the Support link on the welcome screen (if available) or reach out to your organization's IT/help contact.
Once you're signed in, MokoHub keeps everything in one tidy window so you can switch between your tools with a single click.
