The Sidebar
The vertical strip down the left side of the window is your sidebar. It holds one icon for each service you have. Think of it like a row of browser tabs stood on end.
- Click an icon to open that service in the main area to the right.
- The icon you are currently viewing is highlighted so you always know where you are.
- A small badge on an icon shows how many unread messages are waiting — for example, new email in Gmail, a message in Google Chat, or a text in phone.com. This lets you keep an eye on everything at a glance without opening each one.
Each service runs independently and stays signed in on its own, so switching between them is instant and you are not logged out when you move away.
Service Tabs
When you click a service in the sidebar, it loads in the large area that fills most of the window. This is the live web app itself — the same page you would see in a browser, just tucked inside MokoHub.
To keep your computer running smoothly, MokoHub quietly puts services you are not using to sleep in the background. Important services that need to notify you in real time stay awake, while quieter ones rest and wake up again the moment you click them. You do not need to manage any of this — it happens automatically. Even a sleeping service can still let a new-message badge through, so you never miss an alert.
One Sign-In for Google
All of your Google Workspace apps — Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Chat, and the rest — share a single sign-in. Log in to any one of them and the others are signed in too. You will not be asked to enter your Google password over and over for each app.
Other services, such as phone.com or Element, each keep their own separate sign-in, exactly as you would expect.
Workspaces
Your services are organized into workspaces — named groups that keep related tools together. The standard setup groups things sensibly, for example:
- Google Workspace — Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Meet, Chat, and more.
- Comms — phone.com, Google Messages, ntfy, and Element.
- Advertising — the ad-platform dashboards such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, and others.
Workspaces make it easy to focus. When you switch to a workspace, the sidebar shows just the services in that group, so a large list stays tidy and you see only what is relevant to the task at hand.
Settings
Open Settings to adjust how MokoHub behaves. Because MokoHub is set up for you in advance, most people rarely need to change anything — but the settings are there when you want them. From Settings you can:
- Choose whether MokoHub closes to the tray or fully quits when you press the close button.
- Decide whether MokoHub launches automatically when you sign in to your computer.
- Adjust general appearance and behavior options.
Depending on how your MokoHub was configured, some options may be preset by your administrator and locked to keep everyone consistent. If a setting is greyed out, that is by design.
Adding a Service
MokoHub comes with a curated list of approved services rather than an open marketplace, so the “Add a service” screen shows only the tools Moko supports. This keeps your window focused and avoids clutter. If you need something that is not on the list, contact your administrator — new services are usually added centrally so everyone gets them at once.
Close to Tray and the Background Icon
MokoHub is meant to stay running in the background so your messages and notifications keep flowing even when the window is out of the way. When close to tray is turned on, pressing the window's close button does not quit the app — it simply hides the window and tucks MokoHub into your system tray (the small icons near the clock).
To bring the window back, click the MokoHub icon in the tray. To fully quit the app, right-click the tray icon and choose the quit option, or use the app menu.
This is why you may notice new-message badges still updating even when you cannot see the window: MokoHub is still there, quietly keeping your services connected.
Notifications and Broadcasts
Alongside the per-service unread badges, MokoHub can show a banner across the top of the window for system-wide announcements from your administrator — for example, a heads-up about scheduled maintenance. These banners are informational; you can read them and carry on.
Staying Up to Date
MokoHub keeps itself current in the background. New versions of the app, and updates to your list of services, arrive automatically — there is nothing you need to download or install by hand. You will simply have the latest version the next time you restart.
