Why Cross-Post to Telegram

Telegram is a fast, direct channel to a subscribed audience. Automatically pushing new articles to a channel or group keeps your members informed the moment content goes live, with no manual forwarding required.

Connection Modes

  • Default (Mokonyx) — Uses the @MokonyxBot. Just enter your Chat ID.
  • Custom — Use your own bot for custom branding.

Credentials

  • Chat ID — Telegram channel, group, or user chat ID. Channel IDs start with -100. Get yours from @userinfobot.
  • Bot Token (Custom mode) — Your custom bot token from @BotFather.

Setup (Custom Mode)

  1. Message @BotFather on Telegram: /newbot
  2. Follow the prompts to name your bot.
  3. Copy the bot token.
  4. Add your bot to the target channel/group as an admin.

Limits

4,096 characters. Supports HTML and Markdown formatting.

Tips for Best Results

  • Start with default mode — If you just need posts delivered, the Mokonyx bot lets you skip bot creation entirely; only switch to custom mode when you want your own branded bot.
  • Add the bot as an admin — For custom bots, the bot must be an administrator of the target channel or group to post.
  • Get the right Chat ID — Channel IDs start with -100; use @userinfobot to confirm the correct value.

Troubleshooting

If messages don't arrive, verify the Chat ID is correct and, in custom mode, that your bot has been added to the channel or group as an admin. Authentication errors point to an invalid bot token.
