What a service is
A service is a single app running inside MokoHub, shown as a tile in the left sidebar. Each tile is its own mini browser window with its own login. Click a tile to open that app in the main area; a small badge on the tile shows unread messages for apps that support it (like Gmail or Google Chat).
Your services keep you signed in between restarts, so you rarely have to log in twice. You can add, remove, reorder, and rename tiles to suit how you work.
The zero-config roster
The roster is the set of services that are already added for you when MokoHub first starts. You do not build it from scratch. On the very first launch, MokoHub reads a built-in list of apps and fills your sidebar automatically, then opens straight to a starting app (Gmail by default).
A few things worth knowing about this first-run setup:
- It happens once. The roster is seeded the first time you open the app. After that, your own changes are never overwritten, so anything you add, remove, or rearrange stays exactly as you left it.
- It works offline. The starting list ships inside the app itself, so your tiles appear even with no internet connection.
- It is fully editable. The starting apps are just a helpful default. You are free to customize your dock however you like.
In some managed or shared-computer setups, an administrator may lock the roster so it cannot be changed. If your add and remove options are unavailable, your organization has chosen that setup.
The catalog: adding a service
The catalog is the list you browse when you want to add a new app to your dock. To add a service:
- Open the Add a service screen from the sidebar.
- Pick an app from the curated list, or choose the general Custom Website option to add any web address you like.
- Give it a name and confirm. The new tile appears in your sidebar, ready to sign in to.
MokoHub ships a curated catalog: it shows a hand-picked set of apps that fit the Moko toolset, rather than a giant open store of community-built entries. This keeps the list focused and predictable. The Custom Website option is always available, so you can still add any site that is not on the curated list by pasting its URL.
Which services ship by default
Out of the box, MokoHub comes with around 35 tiles, organized into five groups so related apps sit together in your sidebar.
Google Workspace
The Google apps you rely on daily, all sharing a single sign-in. Log in once and every Google tile is signed in with you:
- Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Google Meet, Google Chat, Google Contacts, Google Keep, and Google Tasks
- Google Password Manager, Google Classroom, and Google Admin
Comms
Messaging and notification tools:
- my.phone.com (SMS and voice), Google Messages, ntfy notifications, and Element (Matrix chat)
Moko Infra
Internal Moko tools and sites:
- MokoGIT, Bench, the Moko Consulting website and its admin, and Amazon Web Services
Tools
Everyday utilities and assistants:
- Claude, Gemini, DuckDuckGo AI Chat, and draw.io
Advertising
A full set of ad-platform dashboards in one place:
- Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Facebook Business Manager, Microsoft Advertising, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- TikTok Ads, Amazon Ads, X Ads, Pinterest Ads, Reddit Ads, and Snapchat Ads
One login for your Google apps
The Google Workspace group shares a single sign-in session. When you sign in to one Google app, the rest recognize you automatically, so you are not asked to log in tile by tile. A few other tiles that use your Google account, such as Gemini and Google Ads, share this same session too.
Please note one limit: because these tiles are embedded windows rather than a full Chrome browser, cross-app saved-password autofill is best-effort and may not always fill in credentials for you. Your saved passwords remain available at passwords.google.com.
Good to know
- Your starting apps arrive automatically. There is no setup wizard to click through; the sidebar is ready the moment you open MokoHub.
- Your changes stick. Because the roster is only set up once, any tiles you add or remove are safe across updates and restarts.
- New default apps in an update won't appear automatically. If a later version adds services to the standard list, existing installs keep their current sidebar. New default apps show up on a fresh install; you can always add any app yourself from the catalog.
