🧾 Enabling the Module

  1. Navigate to:
    Home → Setup → Modules → Contracts
  2. Click Activate
  3. Configure default contract terms, billing cycle settings, and PDF templates if needed

📄 Creating a Contract

  1. Go to Contracts → New Contract
  2. Select a linked Third Party (client or customer)
  3. Enter:
    • Title and description of the contract
    • Start and end dates of the agreement
    • Notes or service details
  4. Add contract lines:
    • Label, duration, price, tax rate, frequency
  5. Save and optionally generate a PDF summary

🧾 Activating and Managing Services

  • Each contract line can be activated individually
  • Activated services will appear as In Progress and can trigger recurring invoicing
  • Expired or canceled services can be marked accordingly and excluded from billing
  • Status indicators: Draft, Validated, In Progress, Canceled, Expired

📨 Generating Invoices

  • Use the Generate Invoices function to create billing documents for active contracts
  • Invoices can be reviewed, edited, and sent to the client before validation
  • Contract-based invoicing supports fixed frequency (e.g., monthly, annually)

📊 Reporting and Renewal Tracking

  • Track contracts by customer, status, or expiration date
  • Use filters to identify contracts up for renewal
  • Export contract lists for external reporting or CRM follow-up

  • Use consistent naming and descriptions for contract lines
  • Always activate services to trigger proper invoicing
  • Review contract end dates monthly to prepare renewal offers
  • Attach signed documents or scanned contracts to the digital record
