The Web Services - MokonyxInsight plugin publishes the component over Joomla's REST layer under /api/index.php/v1/. Enable the plugin and send a Joomla API token in the Authorization header.

Resources

  • Connections — list, read, create, update and delete data-source connections; a dedicated test action validates credentials without saving.
  • Catalog — read the list of metrics a connection exposes.
  • Metric values — read a single metric for a time window (from / to).

Auth & permissions

Every call is authenticated by API token and authorized by the same per-action ACL as the admin UI — a token can only do what its user may do. Secrets are never returned in responses.

Each provider type is a connection with its own settings, an authentication method, and a curated catalog of metrics. All are read-only and admin-enabled.

Shipped provider types

  • Google Analytics 4 — OAuth; property id; sessions, users, pageviews and more.
  • Google Search Console — OAuth; site property; clicks, impressions, CTR, position.
  • Matomo — API token (sent in the request body); idsite; visits, actions, top pages/referrers/countries.
  • Plausible — Stats API v2 bearer key; site_id (domain).
  • Umami — x-umami-api-key header; website_id.
  • SQL — driver/host/database/user; metrics defined by saved read-only queries, each a SELECT.
  • REST / JSON — base URL + auth scheme; metrics mapped by dot-path into the response.
  • Prometheus and others, plus any provider added by a third-party plugin via the discovery event.
