Two mechanisms keep Insight current: scheduled background tasks and live dashboard refresh.
Scheduled tasks
The Task - MokonyxInsight plugin runs background jobs (such as the alert evaluator and catalog cache refresh) on the Joomla Scheduler. Enable the plugin, then either enable Joomla's built-in Scheduler (lazy, on page hits) or — recommended for reliability — call the web-cron endpoint from a real system cron.
Dashboard auto-refresh
Each live dashboard can auto-refresh on an interval, re-querying its widgets so a wall display stays current without a manual reload. Per-connection result caching keeps this efficient and respects provider rate limits.
