Message templates control how your articles appear when cross-posted to each platform. You can create different templates for different services — a short message for X/Twitter, a longer summary for LinkedIn, or a rich email for Mailchimp.
How Templates Work
When an article is cross-posted, MokoSuiteSocial renders the message template by replacing placeholders with actual article data. Each service can have its own template, and a Default template is used as a fallback.
Available Placeholders
- {title} — Article title
- {url} — Full article URL
- {introtext} — Intro text (280 chars, no HTML)
- {fulltext} — Full text (500 chars, no HTML)
- {image} — Intro image URL
- {category} — Category name
- {author} — Author name
- {date} — Publish date (YYYY-MM-DD)
Managing Templates
- Navigate to Components → MokoSuite Social → Templates.
- Click New to create a template.
- Select the Service Type (or Default for a fallback template).
- Write your template using the placeholders above.
- Use the Preview panel to see how it will render.
- Save and publish.
