Requirements
- Joomla 6.0 or higher
- PHP 8.3 or higher
- cURL PHP extension (enabled by default on most hosts)
Installation Steps
- Download the package ZIP from the Moko Consulting portal or your Mokonyx dashboard.
- In Joomla, navigate to System → Install → Extensions.
- Upload the package ZIP file and click Upload and Install.
- The installer automatically enables the core component, system plugin, and all service plugins.
First-Run Setup Wizard
The first time you open Components → Mokonyx Social, a guided Setup Wizard walks you through the essential configuration and can connect your first services, and an onboarding tour points out the main areas of the dashboard. See Setup Wizard in Getting Started.
Scheduled Sending (Automatic)
Queue processing is set up for you: the installer automatically seeds a Joomla Scheduled Task that dispatches the queue every 15 minutes, so your cross-posts are sent on a schedule out of the box — no manual task creation required. To review or adjust it, go to System → Scheduled Tasks and open the Mokonyx Social dispatch task, where you can change the interval or disable it. The task still honours your Auto-Post and dispatch-hours settings at run time.
Update Server
MokonyxSocial includes a Joomla update server. When new versions are released you will see an update notification in System → Update → Extensions. Licensed downloads use your Download ID (DLID).
