Where you can set OG data
- Per article — a custom OG fields tab in the article editor
- Per menu item — OG fields in the menu item editor
- Per category — category-level OG tag overrides
What you can override
- OG / SEO title and description
- OG image and og:video URL
- JSON-LD schema for the page
- SEO robots directive and canonical URL
Fallback order
For each tag, MokonyxSocial uses the most specific value available: per-article → per-menu / category → site-wide default → auto-generated from content. Multilingual sites get per-language OG data with language-aware fallback.
Why per-page control matters
Open Graph tags determine how your pages look when they are shared on social networks and messaging apps — the title, description, and preview image that appear in the card. Auto-generated tags are a good baseline, but the pages you promote most often deserve a purpose-written title and a hand-picked image. Per-page overrides let you tune exactly those pages without touching the rest of your site.
When to override, when to leave it blank
A practical approach is to let MokonyxSocial auto-generate tags for the bulk of your content, and only set explicit OG fields where it counts:
- Landing pages and campaign pages you actively share
- Articles whose auto-generated image or summary does not represent them well
- Pages where you want a specific canonical URL or robots directive for SEO reasons
Because blank fields fall through to the next level in the fallback order, you never have to fill in everything — set only what you want to change and let the defaults handle the rest.
Multilingual sites
On multilingual sites you can provide OG data per language, and the language-aware fallback ensures visitors see social cards in the appropriate language wherever specific values exist. This keeps shared links consistent with the language of the page being shared.
