Everything in Insight is scriptable. The Web Services API plugin exposes connections and metrics over Joomla's REST layer, and matching MCP tools let assistants drive it directly.
What you can automate
- Connections — list, create, update, delete and test data sources.
- Catalog — read the metric catalog a connection exposes.
- Metrics — query a metric value for a given time window.
Enable the Web Services - MokonyxInsight plugin and authenticate with a Joomla API token. Access is governed by the same per-action permissions as the admin UI.
