Why Privacy Guard matters
Privacy regulations such as the GDPR — and comparable laws in other jurisdictions — give individuals rights over the personal data an organization holds about them. Meeting those obligations by hand is time-consuming and error-prone. Privacy Guard centralizes the tools you need to respond to privacy requests and to demonstrate compliance, all from within the Mokonyx admin.
Handling a data subject request
When someone asks to see, correct, or remove their data, you can log the request in Privacy Guard and then act on it directly:
- Export produces a copy of the user's data so it can be provided to them.
- Anonymize strips identifying details while retaining records you may still need for legitimate purposes.
- Delete removes the user's data entirely when erasure is the right response.
Keeping every request in one place gives you an auditable trail of what was asked and how it was resolved.
Proving compliance
Consent logging records when and how a user gave consent, which is often the hardest part of a compliance review to evidence after the fact. Retention policies let you age out data automatically so information is not kept longer than necessary, reducing both risk and clutter.
