Overview

MokoOnyx ships as a Joomla package that includes a companion system plugin, System - MokoOnyx Admin (the “Admin Extender”). It layers the MokoOnyx look and feel onto the Joomla administrator (Atum) with no core file changes. Every feature can be toggled independently in the plugin settings.

Enabling and Configuring

  1. In the Joomla admin, go to System > Manage > Plugins.
  2. Search for System - MokoOnyx Admin and open it.
  3. Enable the plugin, then toggle the features you want under the Features, Theme, and Branding tabs.

Features

Theme Switcher

Adds a floating dark / light / system theme control to the backend, wired to Joomla’s data-bs-theme so it matches the front end. Choose the default (System follows the operating-system preference) and whether the choice is shared with the front end or kept separate for the admin.

Colour Palette

Applies MokoOnyx colour theming to the Atum administrator — chrome, sidebar, header, links, and accents — so the backend matches your brand.

Branding

Shows your logo and title on the administrator header and, optionally, the login screen. Set the logo and title under the Branding tab.

Accessibility Toolbar

Adds an administrator accessibility toolbar (high contrast, readable font, highlight links, pause animations, text resize), mirroring the front-end toolbar.

Font Awesome 7 in the Admin

Loads Font Awesome 7 in the backend by reusing the template’s bundled icons, so admin components can use fa-solid / fa-brands classes without a second download.

Database “Problems” Click-to-Copy Modal

On System > Maintenance > Database, each extension with schema problems shows a coloured badge (for example One Problem or 2 Problems) in the Problems column. With the Admin Extender enabled, clicking the badge opens a modal listing every problem and copies the full detail to your clipboard in one action, so you can paste the exact errors into a support request. Press Esc or Close to dismiss. Green No Problems badges are not clickable.

Notes

  • The Admin Extender installs and updates automatically with the MokoOnyx package — there is no separate install step.
  • If every feature is switched off, the plugin does nothing.
