User Accounts on Your Site

MokoWaaS supports multiple user accounts with different levels of access. You can add team members, content editors, or administrators — each with appropriate permissions.

Viewing Users

  1. Go to Users > Manage in the top menu.
  2. You'll see a list of all user accounts on your site.

Adding a New User

  1. Go to Users > Manage.
  2. Click + New.
  3. Fill in the required fields: Name, Login Name (username), Password, and Email.
  4. Under the Assigned User Groups tab, select the appropriate group.
  5. Click Save & Close.

User Groups Explained

  • Registered — Can log in to the front end of the site but cannot access the admin panel.
  • Author — Can create new articles but only edit their own.
  • Editor — Can create and edit any article, but cannot publish.
  • Publisher — Can create, edit, and publish articles.
  • Manager — Full content management access including categories and menus.
  • Administrator — Full admin access (use with caution).
  • Super User — Unrestricted access to everything. Reserved for Moko Consulting.

Best Practices

  • Give the minimum access needed — A blog writer only needs Author or Editor, not Administrator.
  • Use unique accounts — Don't share login credentials between team members.
  • Disable accounts instead of deleting — Block a user's account to revoke access while keeping their content history.
  • Review user list periodically — Remove or disable accounts for people who no longer need access.
