Moko Consulting is expanding its event production team and looking for a reliable, enthusiastic AV Technician Assistant to support live shows, community events, and client productions throughout Montgomery County, Tennessee.
This is a flexible, gig-based role that’s ideal for hobbyists, students, and anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in audiovisual technology. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and proudly maintain an LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace.
About the Role
As an AV Technician Assistant, you'll work directly with our lead technician to set up, operate, and tear down equipment. This includes lighting, sound systems, and staging components for a variety of in-person events. You’ll get real-world experience working behind the scenes to help events run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment at event sites
- Assist with setup and breakdown of AV gear
- Support the operation of DMX lighting, soundboards, and other controls
- Follow all safety procedures and venue guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Wear appropriate attire (jeans and a dark polo shirt)
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable standing for long periods
- Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to follow directions and learn on the job
- Must pass a background check
- Commitment to a drug-free work environment
